Deploying Ansible Automation Platform

If AAP is not installed yet, install it on the OpenShift cluster you already have, then seed. If you already have AAP, go to Ansible Automation Platform.

The playbook is utility_aap_deploy (playbooks/utility_aap_deploy.yml). It runs the utility_aap_deploy role against migration_clusters. It installs AAP; it does not seed Migration Factory. See utility_aap_deploy.

You need an AAP entitlement (service account or subscription manifest). Pass the zip with utility_aap_deploy_aap_license_manifest when the operator requires it.

This is one of the few remaining laptop CLI steps. From the directory that holds a minimal inventory (OpenShift API on migration_clusters):

ansible-navigator run \
  --pp=missing \
  --eei=quay.io/redhat-cop/openshift-virtualization-migration-ee:latest \
  -m stdout \
  --pae=false \
  --senv=K8S_AUTH_HOST=$(oc whoami --show-server) \
  --senv=K8S_AUTH_VERIFY_SSL=false \
  --senv=K8S_AUTH_API_KEY=$(oc whoami -t) \
  infra.openshift_virtualization_migration.utility_aap_deploy \
  -i <inventory>

Defaults include instance name aap, operator channel stable-2.6, and namespace virtualization-migration. After the instance is ready, copy its URL and admin password into migration_aap and continue Building your inventory if you have not finished that file, then Validate your environment.
